Yeah, who is that guy? What's he do? Well, I'll start off with that I can't do: cook, sit indian style, and ride roller coasts (well, I guess I could, I'm just a chicken). Ok, now that I've got that off my chest, I can start blogging! I'm been awaiting this moment for some time now, my very first blog post. Here it goes.
As you're well aware, my name is Martin Duran, and I am the lead programmer of a Plainfield, IL, creative agency. About five years ago, I enrolled in a Web Design program that sparked my interest. However, it wasn't until I was through with my program that I really started learning. Don't get me wrong, education is critical, but experience is the ultimate teacher. I learned so much more from my experience freelancing and from online resources than any school could have taught me.
Us front-end developers, programmers, and other web experts are so lucky to share a community that is so ready, willing, and able to lend a hand. As I mentioned earlier, I learned so much from the web community, and so I feel it's my turn to give back. That's essentially the purpose of this blog; it's my platform from which I'll share my opinions, experience, and knowledge with the community in hopes that I'll help someone just as I was helped along the way. So here it is, my contribution to the community.
